We are so excited to watch each of these puppies’ personalities unfold and to begin matching them with their perfect families at six weeks of age. This litter is expected to have beautiful curly or wavy coats, with black noses and rich, dark eyes. When fully grown, we anticipate they will mature around 55–60 pounds. These puppies will be loyal, affectionate companions with non-shedding coats and wonderful, stable temperaments.

We can’t wait to watch their personalities bloom and to match them with their perfect families. These puppies will have either curly or wavy coats with liver noses and light eyes. We anticipate they will be 45/55 pounds when fully grown.
As we bid farewell to 2024, we can’t help but look back on the incredible journey Pasatiempo Ranch has taken us on. It’s been a year filled with love, laughter, and lots of furry friends!
One of the highlights of our year was the arrival of our adorable Saint Berdoodle litter of 10. Watching those precious puppies grow and thrive was a true joy.
We’re thrilled to have placed 17 puppies in 2024! Our puppies went to amazing families all across Texas and to seven other states bringing happiness and companionship to families far and wide.
Of course our days and years are not just about the puppies – it’s about the love and care we provide for all our furry babes. This year, we’ve spent countless hours grooming, cuddling, and playing with our dogs. We’ve also been busy working on new puzzles and introducing dog exercises to keep their minds and bodies active.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work improving our facilities. We’ve added new structures, revamped the puppy yard, and even re-routed our fencing to create a safer and more enjoyable environment for our dogs.
As we reflect on the past year, we’re grateful for the many families we’ve met and the opportunities we’ve had to deliver new furry family members to their forever homes. It’s been an absolute pleasure to share our passion for dogs with so many wonderful people.
As we look to the new year, we’re excited to see what’s in store for Pasatiempo Ranch. We’re already making plans for new litters, new projects, and new ways to provide the best possible care for our beloved dogs.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported us on this journey. We’re honored to be a part of so many families’ lives, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Can you believe it’s September already? The summer flew past us and now the leaves are going to begin to change, we will have cool crisp mornings and the birds will start migrating to warmer climates…. Just kidding. We are in South Texas – we will have summer until we don’t. The days will eventually cool down a bit and you’ll see our pups back out on long walks and hikes and outings we can’t go on in the hot summer months. We always look forward to this time of the year.
Joies first pumpkin season Winnie’s first pumpkin season
We have two females left from our 2024 Saint Berdoodle litter who are still looking for their forever homes! Laguna and Bondi are the sweethearts of our little puppy preschool class. By the end of this week they will both have their third round of vaccines and be ready to visit pumpkin patches and do all the things autumn dogs like to do. So many firsts are coming up and we hope that they’ll get to experience them with their forever families. If not then they will go for first pup cups and fall flower shopping with us. We never mind raising older pups. At three months it is our honor to take them out to experience the world around us. Socializing them and continuing to introduce them to the big world around us is always one of the most fun pieces of raising pups.
On the subject of puppies our keeper babe from this litter who was originally called Waikiki has formally been named Danni. She is named for a favorite Formula One driver. Her mother is called Joie so we thought it was cute that they both will have names people expect to be boys when they come running. Danni is a brown and white version of her black and white Mama and we couldn’t bear to separate them as Joie absolutely still loves to mother these floofs. She spends hours each day hanging out with them and has been the most attentive mom to her growing babes.

Speaking of hanging out with dogs our older and big pups are doing great. We’ve had a fun filled summer with loads of pool days and fun. We’ve developed a few new systems and training techniques that are working well with our pack. We’ve changed the fencing (again) because ranching any animal is always 80% about the fences. We are about to open the puppy room completely up next weekend so the younger puppies will have full access to the common area of the house at all times. This will integrate them with the older dogs and just get them accustomed to being able to interact with day to day going ons such as meeting and greeting delivery people, watching (and not reacting) to creatures who live outside and of course not darting out the front door when it opens. The older dogs are always good at helping to teach the manners we expect here at Pasatiempo Ranch.

Hey everyone! We stay so busy that it’s sometimes hard to remember to blog a bit and update somewhere other than on the gram! We have had such a fun year with litters and then of course growing and training our pack. We are not quite done with the year yet! We have two litters due this month that will be ready to go home around Valentine’s Day! We are extremely excited because both of these mamas to be were born here at Pasatiempo Ranch! The cooler weather has been so nice for us – it’s allowed much more outdoor time during the day and the dogs just love the fresh air. It’s always a good day when you can play outside with your furry friends.

Puppy dogs. We do so love them don’t we?! We have a plethora of puppies currently and we really want them to end up in amazing doodle homes. Each babe has a specific personality and trait that makes them special. Our puppies are vet checked, have current vaccines, they are microchipped and they go home with one month of complimentary pet insurance. Our Highwaymen litter turned four weeks today! They have had a busy few days. We extended their puppy living area and started them on turf training for potty learning. They also started on mush which is a mix of goats milk, filtered water, and the puppy kibble that we use for all our pregnant, whelping dogs and puppies. Happy February y’all! We are excited to have such a busy month planned here at Pasatiempo Ranch. We have two litters due this month and a third planned for 2023! we are expecting a repeat litter of F1b Goldendoodles from Calliope Jane & Alfie in one week as well as our first litter from Penelope x Alfie of F1b Irishdoodles! We are so over the moon about the litter patter of the little paws this spring!

It’s the SIX WEEK BIRTHDAY today! We are so excited to complete each puppies temperament testing today and help their future families navigate which puppy will be best suited for their home and lifestyle!
There really is no such thing as “pick of the litter” since the best “pick” will be based on the home and circumstances into which the puppy is going. In this particular litter we are personally looking for a straight top line, deep chest, and the puppy with the closest to shape of snout and head that we want to produce in our program. We find the “Pick of the Litter” puppies are often bold, outgoing, and require a good deal more training and management than most families are ready for. What we strive to find for YOUR ‘Pick of the Litter’ is a puppy with an easygoing, moderate temperament; one who will enjoy and adapt to family life with ease.
Our puppies are matched with homes and families based on their temperament as observed by *us over time.* We will evaluate the litter for temperament and potential between 1-6 weeks of age and be able to match you and the puppy based on the evaluation results *and* our observations of the puppy over time. We have years of experience and will help guide you to make the match we feel best for your family.

Another item we use for our puppies everyday since before birth are NuVet supplements. All of our dogs use supplements in some shape or form. Lastly we want to address the subject of training. We are breeders and dog trainers and we highly recommend that you use a program of some sort from day one for your puppy.
