The puppies are here! They turned one week yesterday and they are perfect! A few of them are already weighing over two pounds! We are so excited for this litter as we’ve been planning for it for years. We do have a few available spots left for a female puppy. They will be ready to go to their new homes at the end of September.
The parents of this litter are our Saint Bernard Bernadette and our Standard Poodle Alfie. They are first generation St Berdoodles. This is Bernadette’s first litter and she is the best mom just as we expected. This is Alfies fourth litter and he has amazing pups. The puppies he has fathered in the past are simply phenomenal. They are easily trained, intelligent, athletic and loyal. We are looking forward to watching how big these babies get. We expect their personalities to be a good mixture of calm and cool.

These gorgeous puppies are currently available from our Alfie x Bindi litter. They are F1 Aussiedoodles and they are fabulous! A few things we’ve noticed about this fantastic breed so far is that they are SO FUN TO TRAIN! Seriously, Aussiedoodles are smart and very quick learners. When these babies line up for training time – which is always – they catch on to new commands super fast.
We’ve trained a lot of different breeds over the years and are amazed by the intelligence this mix have! (Maybe it’s the fact both their mom & dad are super brains)! Aussiedoodles thrive with consistent engagement and stimulation. The sky is the limit in terms of what you can teach them!
We are also engaging them daily in grooming and crate training. They have not had a potty accident in over a week. (We told you they are SMART)! They are playing with our other dogs and kittys as well as working on one on one training daily. We continue to introduce them to new sights and sounds each day; today a few went for a ride in the car and tomorrow we will repeat with the other two.
All the training and learning makes for tired puppies and they spend most their hours asleep. Babies sleep tons at this young age. We enjoy holding them sometimes while they nap so that they are ready and willing to easily transition into their new pawrents arms!

We have four girls looking for their furever homes. Each one is beautiful and sweet. They have had nearly a week of indoor/outdoor potty training and are doing great going outside! We are doing daily training on basic obedience commands as well. They are very treat savvy and work hard to earn those and pets! In other news we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our highly anticipated Bernadette & Alfie litter. This is our first F1 St Berdoodle litter and we could not be more excited! We recently made the switch over to a new food. Honestly we had been happy for years with our PPP food but it’s become harder and harder to secure on a regular basis and along with some formula and ingredient switches we’ve been actively pursuing a new quality food for the last year.
We are thrilled with how the pups are responding on this food. We love that the the food is manufactured here in the USA and they also ship free AND you can sign up for auto shop so you never run out! There is nothing more satisfying than not having to load those heavy bags of food into the car!
Choosing the right food to feed your new pet is crucial to their overall health and well-being and should be done with careful thought and consideration. I know that so many people wonder what comes with a Pasatiempo Ranch puppy? That is a great question & one we love talking about! We have been handed a puppy more than once from a “breeder” along with a snack size zip loc bag of food or maybe a sheet of notebook paper that had the puppies birthdate scribbled on it. Then there was the time we were handed a shaking and sopping wet dog and no information about food or vaccine records (because there were none). We thought – we can do better than this and we have!
Our puppies are created and loved by us first and always. We want you to receive a new family member with all of the pieces of the puppy puzzle that you need to make those first weeks easier on both you and that precious fluffy baby.
That’s why each of our puppies go home with the following items:
1) Food. We provide a container filled with food for your go home bag. This way you can slowly add in the food you are planning to use to prevent upsetting their little tummy. We are currently using the TLC brand of food for our puppies and if you decide you would like to keep your puppy on that particular brand we do provide a $5 coupon for your first order. This food is made in Canada and has European standards which are more stringent than the USA. They provide free shipping.
2) Vet Documents. Our puppies are wormed from two weeks forward. They see our vet at Animal Crossing Veterinarian Hospital in Floresville Texas at seven weeks where they receive a thorough exam and their first vaccine.
3) Our dogs receive NuVet daily supplements which your puppies have been taking since before they were born. Each of our pregnant moms receive these daily supplements during and after pregnancy. You will receive 6 days worth of vitamins with your puppy pack.
5) Flea & Tick Prevention as well as the first month of Heartworm Prevention.
4) Toys that smell like siblings. We add in a few of our fave toys to their bags. The puppies love puppy pacifiers and tennis balls and we also add in a stuffed animal and blanket that your puppies litter has played with! We also include a handmade bandana that your puppy will wear home to meet you and a potty pad especially if you are traveling with your puppy.
6) Microchip information that you can easily register as soon as you pick up your puppy. It is a free service with no hidden monthly fees. We use Fi Nano for our microchips.
7) 30 days of no obligation health insurance through Trupanion.
8) Our Contract & Health Guarantee along with a picture of your puppies litter and parents.

We are so in love with this group! They are so sweet and smart. We are so lucky to have this lovely and lively lifestyle that allows us to create beautiful puppies and then to share them with fabulous families that become an extension of our own.
We visited our vet earlier this week and our puppies each received their first vaccines. The puppies were so good there and enjoyed the attention they received from other patients and the staff.
The puppies are doing so good with pottying in their trays. We’ve got a lot of fun things going on for them as we are working hard to help their little minds stay busy and growing while allowing them enough sleep and rest to continue growing.

Happy 4th of July! we’ve had the best day here at Pasatiempo Ranch! We were up early to play outside in the dog and puppy yard and had a nice bbq this afternoon. The puppies played hard on the swings and slides and the dogs hung out on blankets in the yard.

Right now as the day winds down we are watching the last episode of this season Stranger Things – oh how some of the dogs love watching and hearing the weird noises and lights. Once the sun goes down we will turn up the music and have a dance party to drown out the fireworks noise that travels our way for any of the nervous babes.

Tomorrow morning we will be up early because our puppies have their first vet appointment! So exciting. There will be lots of pics and videos of their big day out!

Oh my gosh we are ready for the 4th! Puppies and dogs have been listening to fireworks noises that Alexa plays for them on the loudest volume and guess what?! We have progressed to no response or reaction! We will see how that goes Monday evening. You can also program Alexa to play soothing sounds for your dog and create a playlist and crank up the music to drown out the fireworks. Make sure if you send your pup out during fireworks you go with them – it’s scary and can be traumatic. It’s also the number one day of the year dogs go missing. It’s so important to create environments for your dogs that are both safe and fun. Strange noises and different sounds can be really traumatic when not introduced appropriately. Doing little things like playing those noises at a good and calm time when you can sit with your pup and really relax and pet them is so healthy and helpful for their future!

We are loving this sweet litter of F1 Aussiedoodles. It has been the most amazing experience witnessing the growth and beauty of these sweethearts. We are so ridiculously lucky to live this good life. There are still a few puppies available in this litter and they are SMART!

Bindi is a great Mama – she’s still so attentive to her puppies and insists on cleaning them multiple times a day. She also is great at gently correcting them when they play too rough with each other or try to get into things she doesn’t approve of. This is why that 6/8 week mark is so crucial for puppies to stay with their moms and litter mates! We are so proud of her!

The puppies are doing amazing at potty learning and this week they will begin getting a small amount of playtime in the puppy yard outdoors. for now their favorite thing to do is play in our big puppy room and at our feet in the kitchen. They love to play hard and then fall asleep on the cold tile under our kitchen table. We are working hard on getting the puppies to come when called “puppy puppy puppy” and they are also doing amazing at a sit command! Yay puppies! Happy six week birthday!
